This is a simple story about something that really happened. It shows how the Ombudsman helped a rangatahi who was living in a care home and had some problems to be sorted out.

You can watch an animated video or read a one-page comic that tells the story. After you can understand:

  • How the Ombudsman helps.
  • What we do when someone tells us about a problem.
  • How things can change when people speak up. If we can fix the problem we will, if we can’t, we will find someone who can.
